Community Open House - Come check out the new VES!

The Vermilion community is invited to tour the new Vermilion Elementary School
on Saturday, April 25 from 10am until 1pm.  Come check out this great new space for our K-3 students.

COSI on Wheels

Special Thanks to the VES PTO for funding the COSI on Wheels progam.  All students enjoyed an interactive assembly and hands-on science stations with the theme of Exploring Ecology.  It was two great days of science at VES!  Thanks to our parent volunteers who ran the hands-on stations and to our new friend Juney, from COSI, for teaching us so much about our world.

A Lesson in Economics

Third grade students get "paid" for their homework with "money" that they use to purchase snacks and premium seating for the end of the quarter movie.  It is a good lesson in supply and demand.  Below you can see Mrs. Hogue and Mrs. Greene making the exchanges at the concession stand.
